Rainbow Bridge
C.J. (black and white, DSH) and Uno (Akita) were very good friends and loved to lay in the sunshine together. Both passed over to the Rainbow Bridge within a month of each other. Both Uno and C.J. would welcome all the foster cats into the house and make them feel at home. They both are very much missed by the other foster cats.
Sunshine was a special needs kitty. He was an older, deaf, male kitty with a big heart and fun to watch when he played. He was given up (to me) by a co-worker/friend so that this old kitty could live his last days in peace. When Sunshine left me to go over the bridge, he left an empty place. Now that empty place is home to many foster kitties. They continue to play with his toys and keep him alive in my heart. --Tina (foster mom for Pet-4-Pets)
Shimmie was just a few months shy of her 11th birthday when we lost her to cancer this Spring (2005). Like most cats, she loved to sleep in the sun and on the computer monitor, but her favorite activity was people-watching. She would find a high spot, like the top of a door or the back of the couch and sit there and watch us. She was never interested in people food, unless it was a marshmallow, especially the ones in Lucky Charms cereal! We miss her terribly, but we know she's watching out for us.
