Who We Are

Pets-4-Pets Cats Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer organization helping homeless cats and kittens find forever homes. The cats are housed in foster homes in the Frederick, Md area some of which are brought to the Frederick PetsMart for public veiwing and possible adoption on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Adopting a friend

All cats/kittens are neutered or spayed, vaccinated age appropriately, tested for FIV/Leukemia, treated for worms, ear-mites, and fleas, and microchipped prior to their adoption availability. At the time of adoption, each prospective adopter completes an adoption application and is interviewed.  Upon approval additional paperwork is completed and copies given to the adopter.  There is an adoption fee of $125.00 for 1 cat/kitten and $225.00 for two cats/kittens. The fees collected help off-set a portion of the costs incurred for the daily care of the fosters in our program. Follow-up checks will be conducted at 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year in an effort to assist both the foster and adopter with the  transition and questions. Please remember that the initial adjustment of these pets into your home can be difficult as the animal learns to trust you. Separation anxiety, fear of noises, and attempts to hide are common, but once you are past the first few months, the animal learns to depend on the kindness of their new family.
